Sabine Van Praet is an ever busy bee. Trained as an architect, this mother of 5 sons built a tiny kidsstore in the small coastal town of Nieuwpoort into what basile has become now: a reference far beyond the coast. As one of the most important kids and teens stores in Belgium, basile offers a broad selection of high-level brands and a professional service. In 2017, Sabine opened a high-end womens fashion store, with exclusive brands like Marni, Isabel Marant and Golden Goose called JAMES, right next doors to basile. Beginning of 2019, basile moved to a new, bigger location, broadening its range from kidswear to a larger selection of men/women collections.

In 2020, at the start of a new decade, it was time for another adjustment. Everyone at basile was so satisfied with the new space, they decided to move JAMES in the new venue also. After the neccessary adjustment works, JAMES x basile is now a fact. The love of aesthetics is always the common thread. Whether it comes to selecting the coolest and casual brands for basile, or the most exclusive pieces for JAMES, offering the highest standard and the boldest selection remains an absolute priority.
